After I posted the first picture of my Sri Lanka travelling doll, a few friends felt it would be a good idea to help me 'find' some nekkid beads. OHMYGOSH! The funny thing is I managed to dig out at least a pound of beads out of my own stash - and now it looks like I've got two pounds to drag along! WHEW!
Thank you so much Rolanda & Cyn!! She's already getting her 'skin' going a bit - I've beaded up to the knee on one foot.
For those of you concerned about my poor mask getting neglected... you're right. But it's necessary. I simply can't get that thing into my luggage without worries of it getting crushed. I promise to return to it when I get back from Sri Lanka. In the meantime, I'm posting progress out on the Contemporary Bead Art group.
(Bruno says this photo makes my dolly look like she's been shot - I WAS aiming at a little leap of joy, but looks like it was a bit tragic...)
She is going to be fantastic!!! I've been thinking of doing a doll, but something more childlike... this may change my mind!!! I can't wait to see her finished!!! Wow, there really ARE a lot of beads there!!!
